Beverly's Home

Every once in a while you come across those people in life who are the neighborhood equivalent of Martha Stewart, Betty Crocker and Rosie the Riveter all wrapped up into one person….. Well, in my neighborhood…. That would be Beverly.

Whatever she cooks is the equivalent to a five star gourmet meal.. (seriously not kidding here).. her home is beautifully decorated (that I took pics of to prove!!) and when it comes to crafts, cooking, decorating and other home projects she's sort of like your "go-to" person…. this is predominantly because you KNOW she's going to have a fantastic answer that you never in a million years would have thought of!!

At any rate, I decided to add this web page to my blog so I can easily showcase everything Beverly is cooking, crafting and gardening up at her home!   …… I hope you enjoy!

Beautiful Fall entryway!  The picture doesn't do it justice!… but you can probably tell it was made from a dresser! …. yes, one of those things you put clothes in… only she could take that and turn it into storage/decoration for an entryway!

But I gotta say… I love it!  & looks great!

An embellished glass-blown pumpkin with beaded fruit and vine.  This was placed on her china cabinet with all of the fine china…. really simple & really beautiful!

Beverly's Fall Sofa Table

This decorated sofa table is really gorgeous!  When you look up close and notice the detail that's when it's easier to notice all of the different yet well-matched decor displayed.  But don't worry…. I took plenty of up-close pictures for you to see!!

The picture above shows the different decorations on the shelves.  What I like about it is that it's simple, decorative and has a lot of the traditional Fall colors.  Also, If you are decorating and plan to place several items in a "straight line" like what she has on the top shelf….. consider weaving a strand of berry's, flowers, garland etc… in between the items to show some depth and give a different TEXTURE!  Most everything on the two shelves is glass in nature but the "vine of beads" adds a completely different texture… so you have some matching components but something 'different.'

This is a picture showing the candle holders with more of the 'beaded vine' in a vase to sort of "pull it all together."

A White Fall Mantle

This white Fall mantle is gorgeous!!  It is the beaded vine in Fall colors which makes it a Fall mantle.  You could EASILY replace the beaded vine with something in the colors for Christmas and then have a Christmas mantle!!  I think that is why I LOVE the white Fall mantle so much!!

A 'close-up' pick of the Fall Mantle!

If you add a candle for decoration to your fire-place….. make it a white candle and place a Fall colored leaf in for seasonal decoration!  You can probably tell this is a 'battery operated' candle…

At any rate, that doesn't matter…. if you want to keep the same decorations for Christmas swap the leaf for something more 'christmasy'… maybe a poinsettia leaf, candy cane, gingerbread man… etc… the list is endless here!!!!

The picture above is a nice picture of the Fall candle from a distance.  The white pumpkin also looks great with the white Fall mantle….. I suppose if you wanted to swap it all out for a Christmas decoration you could exchange the pumpkin for any number of things….. a santa claus, snowman, rein deer… you name it!! (and I discussed above what you could exchange the leaf out for in order to provide for a Christmas decoration).
