Toddler Purse

I'm notorious for accepting and collecting things I could possibly turn into something else.. hence the development of my latest craft.

A Christmas candy tin transformed into a toddler purse.  It was actually pretty easy and my 3 year old loved helping out.

I started with a regular Christmas Candy tin.. I liked the shape of this one along with the lid and figured it would make a cute 'tote' for my toddler.

I moved it to an outdoor table which I use when I'm crafting, especially if I decide to paint something.

I wanted to paint it pink but didn't have that color so I mixed red and white.  I used the acrylic paint I happened to have on hand.
Use a paint brush and apply at least two coats of paint.

Once the paint has dried you can add stickers, flowers, jewels or any other decorative items.  My stickers didn't stick to the acrylic paint very well so I opted to hot glue everything on.. including the stickers… but be careful!  You will need something to smooth the stickers on with since using your fingers could get really hot!

I added a ribbon for a handle and used a felt flower to put on the lid, both of which I hot glued on.
